Erbium/Ytteribium Co-Doped Fibers

Erbium/Ytteribium Co-Doped Fibers

Ytterbium-sensitized erbium co-doped fibers are doped active fibers used for operation around 1550 nm. These fibers offer high peak power and excellent beam quality with high efficiency while suppressing parasitic 1 μm Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE). Operating power that can go from a few milliwatts to tens of watts with peak powers up to 10s of kilowatts and energy at the millijoule level. These are ideal parameters for sensing, telecommunication, and medical applications.
